Plagiarism Policy

Al-‘Arabiyya: Journal of Arabic Language, Literature, and Pedagogy strictly rejects all forms of plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin or equivalent tools).

The maximum acceptable similarity index is ≤25%, excluding references, properly cited direct quotations, and commonly used technical terms. A similarity score above this threshold may result in rejection or require revision, depending on the nature and extent of the overlap.

Manuscripts found to contain substantial plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical citation practices will be rejected. Authors may be subject to further academic sanctions in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics and the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
