Authors who publish in Al-‘Arabiyya: Journal of Arabic Language, Literature, and Pedagogy retain the copyright of their work and grant the journal a non-exclusive right of first publication. The work is simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons license that allows others to share and adapt the work with proper acknowledgment of the original authorship and publication in this journal.

Authors are permitted to:

  • Use their work for personal, educational, and scholarly purposes with proper citation.
  • Self-archive the pre-print and post-print versions of their articles in personal websites, institutional repositories, or other repositories, with acknowledgment of the original publication in this journal.
